A sequel to the comparatively energized Snax, this charmingly disjointed EP of sorts -- 14 tracks, 25 minutes -- functions as another intermediary release between Bodywash and its proper follow-up, planned for 2020. Having explored stupefied synth funk with Bodywash and the Prophet collaboration Wanna Be Your Man, Mndsgn returns to warped beatmaking, lacing this set with some of his trippiest work since Yawn Zen. Tracks arbitrarily fade out and abruptly end, as expected for a beat tape, and after a few plays, some of them -- like the tenderly whomping "Deviled Eggs," the partially G-funk "Sumdim," and the exceptionally disoriented "Papayaberry" -- do seem to gain definition. The results of late mike hand-offs to Jon Bap, Asal Hazel, and Pink Siifu are almost as phantasmal as the voices sourced from Mndsgn's crates.
