Drake - Iceman
UNOFFICIAL IMPORT - 2xLP COLORED VINYL
Iceman is one of three albums simultaneously surprise-released by international rap personality Drake on May 15, 2026. Unlike the R&B atmospheres of Habibti or the dance music-inspired and accessible Maid of Honour (the other two albums in the trilogy), Iceman finds Drake in full-on rap mode and on the defensive. Many tracks center around the very public and historic beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar that made headlines in the summer of 2024, with "Dust," "Ran to Atlanta," "What Did I Miss?," and other songs either directly, cryptically, or subliminally addressing aspects of the feud and the sides taken during it. "Janice STFU" has some glimmers of the pop appeal that made Drake famous, and "B's on the Table," featuring one of the album's rare guest appearances with contributions from 21 Savage, rides a laid-back groove that slowly grows into one of the set's more interesting hooks. With only a few bright spots, however, and at over an hour long, with song after song of obligatory beat switches, endless streams of self-pitying lyrics, and Drake positioning himself in the unrealistic underdog role, Iceman gets tedious quickly. Drake tries hard for vindication and righteousness with almost all of the album's 18 tracks, but it ends up serving as a reminder of why he lost the beef that he still can't get over.
