For Ecca Vandal, punk was survival; a way in, and a way out. Born to a Sri Lankan family in South Africa and raised in Australia, she grew up under pressure to fit a mold. Punk blew that open. It was her way of pushing back, of refusing silence. Trained in jazz but craving something louder, she found freedom in being raw and unapologetic.
